Since 1980, NGAA-East has provided a means for professionals in a variety of mission-direct and mission-support fields to keep up to speed within the Defense and Intelligence communities, as well as the wide post-retirement world of private endeavor.

Its more than 550 members are active and retired military and civilian personnel who get together twice yearly in Washington for a social and professional gathering that provides a clearing house of information, ideas, and experience in a warm social atmosphere. Members also meet at other informal gatherings such as happy hours and winery tours as well as participate in professional activities such as an oral history program, a Career Transition Panel that assists retiring NGA employees, and serving as members of special studies led by NGA.

The group’s semi-annual get-to-gethers (in the form of a luncheon) at the NGA Campus-East, Fort Belvoir, VA have been suspended because of COVIDD-19 restrictions.  Attendees would receive briefings from NGA, be greeted by the NGA Director or other senior official, and attend a Chapter business meeting.
